biography
My stained glass career began in 1977 with training by Gary Kazanjian in Redondo Beach, California. Moving to Sedona in 1979, I opened my first handmade arts and crafts store, "Something Different."
Over the years, I moved out of retail and into full-time custom commissioned studio work under the name Aristocraft Studios. Some of my more visible public work can be seen at the Winslow Baptist Church, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and Master's Bible Church in Sedona, Bell Rock Inn in the Village of Oak Creek, Sedona Clothing Company in West Sedona, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Flagstaff, the Zane Grey Ballroom at the historic Weatherford Hotel, and the newly opened Altitudes Bar and Grill.
Working with custom clients most of my time has produced a style that can only be described as extremely varied. My pieces have included everything from portraits of clients' parrots to tarot card patterns. There is great pleasure and satisfaction in the commissioned work. I know that when the piece is finally installed it is exactly what the client wanted. Pattern, color, glass style, degree of privacy, and location all work towards the final creation.
